Malhotra for periodical health checkup

JAMMU, Nov 4: Senior Congress leader and former National general secretary, Indian Youth Congress (IYC), today laid stress on routine and periodical health checkup and suggested the people not to ignore even a minor ailment, as, he said, it could prove vulnerable in the long run.
While speaking at a free medical camp organised by ‘Swabhiman’, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) in association with Shri Maharishi Dayanand Hospital at Shri Gurmat Kanya Pathshala, Fattu Choughan here, the Congress leader opined that it is appropriate for all of us that we perform periodical medical checkups, so that diseases could be cured timely. He advised the gathering to fight the disease instead of hiding it for any reason.
Earlier, Malhotra, who was invited as chief guest, inaugurated the medical camp in the presence of prominent citizens. Sandeep Mengi, Proprietor, Shri Maharishi Dayanand Hospital, Jammu, also graced the occasion as a guest of honour.
A team of about six senior doctors and other para-medical staff from Shri Maharishi Dayanand Charitable Hospital, performed checkup and consultation to over 350 people visiting the camp.
The Congress leader lauded the dedication of team of doctors and the management of the Hospital for extending cooperation in organising the medical camps and free consultation to the suffering and needy people.
