Malhotra inaugurates upgraded lanes, drains

Chairman Legislative Council inaugurating lanes and drains at Mohalla Bhatrian Jammu.

JAMMU, June 22: Chairman Legislative Council, Amrit Malhotra, on Saturday inaugurated upgraded lanes/drains at Bhatrian Mohalla in Ward No. 7 at Veer Marg. After the inauguration, Malhotra interacted with members of Veer Marg Trader Association.
President of the Association, Sunil Sharma apprised the Chairman of various demands including construction of toilet in the Mohalla, regular water and power supply, replacement of old electric wires, etc.
Malhotra said that the Government is initiating all steps to ensure adequate power and water supply besides extending other necessary facilities to people of the State. He appealed the people to extend their complete cooperation to the Government so that the mission of present dispensation of expanding the reach of better basic amenities to every nook and corner of the State especially unattended parts could be met.
Responding to demands of the association, he announced the construction of toilet in the mohalla and assured that the same would be completed in stipulated time frame. He said that the Coalition Government is committed to provide all basic amenities to the people of the state especially to poor people.
