JAMMU, Dec 11: The IQA C of Government MAM (GMAM) College organized an alumni meet in the college today.
Distinguished alumni from varied arenas of society graced the occasion. The purpose of the meet was to highlight the achievements and initiatives taken up by the College in the preceding years and invite suggestions from the alumni to upgrade campus life.
The programme started with the lighting of traditional lamp by the College Principal, Prof (Dr) Anita Sudan. In her welcome address, she highlighted the significant role of alumni towards the development of the alma mater.
Dr Twinkle Suri, convener, IQAC, gave a brief profile of the institution and the activities organized by the IQAC. A brief cultural programme was also organized by the Department of Music under the guidance of Prof Kailash Mehra, HoD Music.
The programme was followed by an interaction wherein the alumni shared their experiences and memories of yesteryears and pledged their unflinching support to the development of the college.
The members of the IQAC— Dr RK Gupta, Prof Nirlape Kour, Dr Banpreet Kour, Dr Mazammal Hussain, Prof Harpreet Kour, Prof Sujat Khan, Prof Rakesh Shaarma, Dr Bindu Chib and various faculty members graced the occasion.
Dr Shalini Sharma presented vote of thanks. The programme concluded with National Anthem.
