Mamata condols death and injuries to soldiers in ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops

KOLKATA: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today heartfelt condoled over the death and injuries to soldiers in ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops near the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri in Jammu region on Sunday evening.
“Captain Kapil Kundu, Rifleman Ramavatar, Rifleman Subham Singh & Havaldar Roshan Lal martyred in ceasefire violation by Pakistan in BG sector of Rajouri,” Ms Banerjee posted on her social networking page.
“Your sacrifice for the Nation will not go down in vain. Heartfelt condolences to NoK,” she added.
Four soldiers including a Captain attained martyrdom and three including a civilian girl got injured as Pakistan shelled heavily and fired unprovoked along the Line of Control in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Pakistan troops intensified firing at Indian military posts and villages along the Line of Control or LoC in Poonch and Rajouri districts Sunday morning, violating the ceasefire. A teenage girl and a soldier were injured in Poonch, the official sources said.
They said that they heavily fired on forward posts while in shelling four of Indian soldiers including a Captain attained martyrdom.
Those killed were identified as Captain Kapil Kundu, 22, Rifleman Ramavatar, 28, Rifleman Subham Singh, 22 and Havilder Roshan Lal, 42. (AGENCIES)
