JAMMU, Aug 16: India has never seen such desperate shielding of culprits and the destruction of evidence by those directly sheltered by Mamata Banerjee’s administration has drawn a widespread condemnation, said Tuhin Sinha, national spokesperson BJP.
Tuhin Sinha, accompanied by J&K BJP Spokesperson Adv Abhinav Sharma and J&K BJP Media Secretary & Incharge Media Department Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, was addressing a Press Conference at BJP Headquarters, here, today.
There is no dearth of strict laws in the country to ensure the most stringent “punishment for culprits. But if political parties start acting as agents of rapists and dreaded criminals and wilfully destroy evidence, then the trial can never reach its logical end. But Bengal under a lady CM has the lowest conviction rate and the highest pendency rate in the country in so far as crimes against women are concerned”, said Tuhin Sinha.
Sinha, said that the actions of Mamta suggest her as the co-destroyer of the evidence in the whole turn of the recent rape-murder case of a doctor in Kolkata.
He questioned the role of Bengal Chief Minister and how a political party sheltered the tragedy.
“It seems that the only reason Mamta Banerjee wanted to delay the CBI investigation was to ensure that all evidence is destroyed”, said Sinha.
He also mentioned the case of Ayodhya, in which a leader of the Samajwadi Party Moid Khan raped and held captive a girl child for two months and the SP supremo Akhilesh Yadav protected him.
He said in the rape-murder case of Kolkata, the case was hushed into and the murder was tried to be labelled as ‘suicide’.
“The inhumane treatment of the victim, the suggestion of involvement of more than one person in the crime and the negative role of administration and Government is disturbing”, said Sinha.
The role of Sanjay Ghosh, Dean of the College is also doubtful in this case, he said. The employees of the Medical College have also accused him of corruption of the Bio-medical waste, said Sinha.
The chemistry of Sanjay Ghosh, and Kolkata Police, in the rape-murder of a postgraduate trainee doctor at RG Kar Hospital is also under scanner, said Sinha.
“The attack on the hospital by the hundreds of goons, within the timeframe demanded by the Bengal CM strongly suggests the involvement of Bengal CM”, said Tuhin Sinha.
