JAMMU, Mar 15: Gandhi Nagar Police arrested a man for attacking and injuring Government servant.
As per police sources, Deputy Passport Officer Passport Office Jammu Ameeka Kumari along with injured SgCt Mangal Singh Chib lodged a complaint with Police Station Gandhi Nagar stating that a man identified as Jaspreet Singh, son of Jaswant Singh of Miran Sahib, district Jammu forcibly entered into the Passport Office complex and brutally attacked, physically assaulted SgCt of JKP Mangal Singh Chib. The accused also torn the uniform of the SgCt and also misbehaved with other security guards working in Passport office, the complainant stated.
Acting swiftly over the complaint, a team from Police Station Gandhi Nagar led by SHO Inspector Bharat Sharma conducted raid and apprehended the accused.
A case under FIR Number 71/2021 under Sections 353 and 332 IPC has been registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and investigation started.
