JAMMU, June 23: Domana Police arrested a man for kidnapping and raping a minor girl.
As per police sources, on June 18 this year, a written complaint was lodged at Police Station Domana by a man stating that her minor daughter has gone missing from her residence at Chawana Chak area Tehsil Marh in District Jammu.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 167/2021 under Section 363 IPC was registered at Police Station Domana and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a special team led by SHO Domana Inspector Mahesh Sharma and assisted by PSI Danish Qaiser was constituted under the supervision of SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul.
The team connected various leads and after hectic efforts and with the assistance of technical aids finally recovered the kidnapped minor girl from District Poonch. The team also arrested the accused person namely Vicky Sharma, son of Nand Lal of Raja Chak Sungal Akhnoor from Narwal area of District Jammu.
Further, sections 376 IPC and 3/4 POCSO Act were added in the said case as per the contents of statement of the victim.
The girl has been handed over to the family members after completing all legal formalities.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
