JAMMU, July 9: Border Police Post (BPP) Gajansoo arrested a man for outraging modesty of a girl.
As per police sources, on July 6 this year, a complaint was lodged by a person with BPP Gajansoo stating that a man identified as Sansar Singh, son of Laxman Singh of Nanu Chak Tehsil Marh trespassed into his house and outraged modesty of his daughter.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 108/2020 under section 452 and 354 IPC was registered at Kahna Chak Police Station and hunt was launched to nab the accused.
During the course of the investigation, a team from BPP Gajansoo visited the spot, prepared site plan and recorded the statements of the witnesses. Offence under section 8 POCSO Act was established during investigation.
Moving further, the team from BPP Gajansoo conducted raid and apprehended the accused.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
The arrest was made by Incharge BPP Gajansoo ASI Sanjeet Singh under the supervision of SHO Kahna Chak Inspector Ravi Singh Parihar, SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul, SP Rural Suram Singh and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
