JAMMU, Apr 30: A man has been arrested for raping a woman in village Langer of Greater Kailash here today.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a lady with Police Station Gangyal stating that a man identified as Mohammad Sikander, son of Maseet Khan of Village Kheda Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, at present Greater Kailash entered into her house at village Langer and allegedly raped her.
Acting over the complaint, a team from Police Station Gangyal led by SHO Inspector Joginder Singh conducted series of raids and finally nabbed the alleged rapist.
A case under FIR Number 46/2022 under Sections 376 and 458 IPC has been registered against the alleged rapist at Police Station Gangyal and investigation started.
