JAMMU, Nov 26: Chinore police arrested a man along with 150 grams of heroin.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Chinore Police Post laid a naka at Thathar and intercepted a car bearing registration number JKO1V- 6979.
During checking, police recovered 150 grams of heroin from the possession of one person, while his associate managed to escape from the spot by taking benefit of the darkness.
The arrested person has been identified as Mohammad Sharif, son of Iqbal Ahmad, a resident of Jandrah Jammu.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Domana Police Station and hunt has been launched to nab the associate of the arrested person, who has been identified as Wasim Ahmad, son of Sardar Ahmad of Samba.
Police team led by Incharge Chinore Police Post SI Rajesh Verma made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Domana Inspector RS Rana, SDPO Domana Verinder Singh and SP Rural Shivdeep Singh Jamwal.
