KISHTWAR, June 24: Dachhan police arrested a man along with large quantity of illicit liquor pouches.
As per police sources, a team from Dachhan police station during patrolling intercepted a person for checking, as he was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 105 pouches of illicit liquor from the possession of the man and arrested him on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Bilal Ahmed, son of Abdul Gani Chopan, a resident of Karai Paknoo, Dachhan.
A case under FIR Number 5/16 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Dachhan police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Dachhan Inspector Kamal made the arrest under the supervision of SSP Kishtwar Sandeep Wazir at Sewarbati, Dachhan and recovered 105 pouches of liquor from his possession. In this regard a case under FIR No 5 /2016 under Section 48A Excise Act has been registered in police station Dachhan.
