JAMMU, Oct 9: Domana police arrested a man along with large quantity of illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Domana Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 54 small bottles of illicit liquor from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Jai Singh, son of Bhag Singh, a resident of Paryal.
He was carrying the illicit liquor to his native village for selling among the masses to make illegitimate profits.
A case under FIR Number 362/18 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been register at Police Station Domana and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Domana Inspector Rajeshwar Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Domana Sandeep Gupta, SP Rural Dushyant Sharma and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
