JAMMU, Apr 8: Bishnah police arrested a man and recovered large quantity of illicit liquor pouches from his possession.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Bishnah Police Station laid a naka at Mehmoodpur and intercepted a person, who was trying to hide himself from the cops.
During checking, police recovered 60 pouches of illicit liquor from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The accused has been identified as Parveen Kumar, son of Sain Dass, a resident of Kulwal.
A case under FIR Number 70/18 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah Inspector Rajesh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Sourabh Prashar, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
