JAMMU, Mar 29: Police today arrested a man for running illicit liquor distillation hub in Kothey Bulanday area, falling under the jurisdiction of Bishnah police station.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bishnah police station conducted raid in Kothey Bulanday area and busted illicit liquor manufacturing hub.
Police team recovered 3 litres illicit liquor and 300 litres lahan, which was later destroyed. Equipments used to manufacture illicit liquor were also dismantled.
Police arrested a person from the spot, who has been identified as Sunny Kumar, son of Baldev Raj, a resident of Kothey Bulanday.
A case under FIR Number 36/16 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Bishnah police station and further investigation of the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah police station Inspector Paramjit Singh busted the illicit liquor distillation hub and arrested the accused under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Harjeet Singh and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
