JAMMU, Oct 25: Police arrested a man for selling illicit liquor in Kotli Charkan area, falling under the jurisdiction of Bishnah Police Station.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a police team led by SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary under the supervision of S P Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal conducted raid in village Kotli Charkan and arrested a man while selling illicit liquor.
Police recovered 7 litres of illicit liquor from the possession of the man and also destroyed 200 litres of lahan.
The arrested person has been identified as Kundan Lal, son of Sardari Lal, a resident of Kotli Charkan
A case under FIR Number 230/17 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Bishnah Police Station and investigation started.
