RAMBAN, Oct 1: Patnitop police arrested a man with smuggled liquor.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Patnitop Police Post laid a naka on Patnitop-Sanasar road and intercepted a pedestrian, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 37 small bottles of illicit liquor from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Ramesh Kumar, son of Krishan Lal, a resident of Kanti Ganote, District Ramba.
A case under FIR Number 107/18 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Batote Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Patnitop Police Post SI Vikram Manhas made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Batote Inspector Nazir Ahmed, DySP Headquarters Asgar Malik, Additional SP Ramban Sanjay Parihar and SSP Ramban Anita Sharma.
