POONCH, Nov 4: Mendhar police arrested a man and recovered smuggled liquor from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Mendhar Police Station laid a naka at Hakim Morh and intercepted a pedestrian.
During checking, police recovered 21 small bottles of illicit liquor from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Amit Kumar, son of Sunil Kumar, a resident of Gohlad, Tehsil Mendhar, District Poonch.
A case under FIR Number 186/18 under section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Mendhar Police Station and investigation started.
