JAMMU, Dec 12: A man has been arrested along with 83 kilograms of polythene, being manufactured in illegally run polythene manufacturing factory in Chandan Vihar area of Muthi.
As per police sources, on receiving information that a polythene factory which was sealed by Pollution Control Board (PCB) is running illegally, a police team rushed to the spot and arrested one person along with 83 kilograms of polythene in presence of Magistrate.
The arrested person has been identified as Ashok Malla, son of late Badrinath Malla, a resident of Chandan Vihar Muthi District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 363/2020 under Section 188 IPC and under relevant Sections of Non-Biodegradable Act has been registered at Domana Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Domana Inspector Chanchal Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul, SP Rural Sanjay Sharma and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
