JAMMU, June 3: Gangyal police arrested a man along with country made pistol and live cartridge.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Gangyal Police Station led by SHO Inspector Sunil Singh Jasrotia and assisted by PSI BS Charak laid a naka and intercepted a pedestrian, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered one country made pistol and live round from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Popinder Singh alias Kaka, son of Gurbachan Singh alias Shoki of Deshmesh Nagar, Satwari District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 81/2020 under Section 3/25 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Gangyal and investigation initiated.
