UDHAMPUR, Feb 27: Tikri police arrested a man and recovered illicit liquor from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Tikri Police Post apprehended a person along with 51 quarters of illicit liquor.
The arrested person has been identified as Chail Singh, son of Faqir Singh of Manthal, Tikri, District Udhampur.
A case under FIR Number 33/19 under section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Rehambal Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Police Post Tikri SI Balram Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Rehambal Ajay Bhatt, DySP Headquarters Rohit Chadgal and Additional SP Udhampur Rajinder Katoch.
