JAMMU, Oct 16: Border Police Post (BPP) Gajansoo arrested a man and recovered illicit liquor from this possession.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Border Police Post (BPP) Gajansoo laid a naka at Galwaday Chak and intercepted a person, who was coming from Karloop towards Gajansoo.
During checking, police team recovered 45 quarters of illicit liquor from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Kuldeep Raj, son of Kartar Chand of Gango Chak Gajansoo.
He was carrying the illicit liquor to his native area for sale among the masses to make illegitimate profits.
A case under FIR Number 162/2020 under relevant sections has been registered at Kanachack Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge BPP Gajansoo SI Lalit Sharma and assisted by ASI Kuldeep Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Kanachack Inspector Vishwa Partap Singh and SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul.
