JAMMU, Feb 16: Domana police arrested a man along with large quantity of illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Domana led by SHO Inspector Mahesh Sharma and assisted by SI Balbir Singh apprehended a man along with 50 quarters of illicit liquor at Gumpul.
The arrested person has been identified as Sohan Singh, son of Jagat Singh of Purkhoo, District Jammu.
He was carrying illicit liquor quarters to his native place for selling among the masses to make illegitimate profits.
A case under FIR Number 49/2021 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Domana and investigation started.
