JAMMU, Dec 12: Bishnah police arrested a man and recovered large quantity of illicit liquor from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bishnah Police Station laid a naka near Deoli and intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 49 bottles of illicit liquor from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Kasturi Lal, son of Rolu Ram, a resident of Deoli, Tehsil Bishnah District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 214/18 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah Inspector Rajesh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of Incharge SDPO RS Pura Sukhdev Singh, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and DIG JKS Range/SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
