SAMBA, Jan 19: Bari Brahmana Police arrested a man and recovered 36 bottles of illicit liquor from his possession.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Bari Brahmana led by SHO Inspector Rajesh Sharma under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahmana Shivali Kotwal laid a naka and intercepted a man, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 36 bottles of illicit liquor from the possession of the man and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Simran Jeet Singh, son of Harjeet Singh of Tral District Pulwama, at present Tehsil Bishnah, District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 11/2022 under Section 48 (a) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana and investigation started.
The arrest and recovery was made under the supervision of SSP Samba Abhishek Mahajan.
