UDHAMPUR, Feb 24: Panic gripped Toldi Nallah area in Udhampur this morning after a leopard attacked a man and left him critically injured .
The victim, identified as Jiaft Ali (50), son of Mohamed Amin, resident of Toldi Nallah Udhampur, was attacked by the leopard when he was grazing his domestic animal in a forest area.
The victim was shifted to District Hospital Udhampur and his condition was stated to be stable.
The incident has triggered a panic in the area even as the locals brought the matter into the notice of Police and Wildlife Conservation Department. The villagers appealed the Wildlife Department and district administration to capture the leopard for safety of their domestic animals and well as the people.
