After the incident, a group of farmers held protest against the attackers and demanded filing of FIR against them.
They said this mafia has over the years succeeded in earning crores of rupees by managing sale of sub-standard pesticides and fertilizers in the market with nexus of few Government officials.
They also alleged that the sale of scores of un-registered pesticides and fertilizers from last few-years has ruined thousands of apple trees and also damaged the quality of this cash crop.
