Man booked for assaulting on duty Govt employee

KISHTWAR, Apr 5: A man has been booked for manhandling and assaulting on duty Government employee.
As per police sources, following water crisis, the residents of Matta village gathered near Dak Bundlow chowk and blocked the vehicular movement for several hours.
After getting information, DC Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana along with officers of PHE and Police Departments reached the spot and tried to pacify the protestors including women.
When the officials and protestors were in negotiations, a man identified as Madan Lal, a Government employee posted in State Forest Department manhandled and assaulted on duty Junior Engineer of PHE Department.
The act of the protestors irked the PHE Officials, who went to the Police Station Kishtwar and lodged a complaint against Madan Lal and demanded strict action against him.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 62/19 under section 353 RPC has been registered at Kishtwar Police Station and investigation started.
