JAMMU, Mar 11: A man has been booked for trying to outrage modesty of a married woman by Bagh-e-Bahu Police.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a married woman hailing from Channi Himmat area with Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu stating that a man identified as Pardeep Kumar, son of Sham Lal, a resident of Channi Himmat passed obscene remarks and also tried to outrage her modesty when she visited the environmental park near Bagh-e-Bahu.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 33/2020 under sections 354 IPC (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 294 IPC (obscene act in any public place) has been registered at Bagh-e-Bahu Police Station and investigation started.
