RAMBAN, July 23: A man has been booked by Batote police for allegedly trying to rape a married woman.
As per police sources, a person identified as Shahab Din, son of Shamas Din, a resident of Ludwal tried to outrage the modesty of a woman. The lady raised hue and cry and the accused escaped from the spot.
The lady narrated the ordeal to her husband, who lodged a complaint with police station Batote.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 52/17 under Sections 376 and 511 RPC has been registered at Batote police station and hunt has been launched to nab the accused.
