JAMMU, Dec 15: A labourer of a Tarcoal plant was burnt severely in an accidental fire in Lalyal area falling under the limits of police post Chattha.
According to a police spokesperson, to protect themselves from cold waves and keep their body warm a group of men reportedly labourers of a Tarcoal plant were enjoying the heat of the fire by sitting around it when one of them came in contact with the fire.
“The accident happened late last night when to accelerate the fire the victim identified as Dinesh Kumar (23) son of Rampal, a resident of UP (at present residing at Lalyal) poured some kerosene oil in it”, he said adding the victim received about 95% injuries in the mishap and in a bid to save the victim one of his accomplice also received minor burn injuries.
Both the injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, for treatment.
The concerned police has already taken cognizance of the matter.
