JAMMU, Nov 24: A man allegedly committed suicide in Manjakote area of Rajouri.
According to a police official, a man identified as Mohd Tariq (38) son of Mohd Iqbal, resident of Kothi Kala Ban, yesterday consumed some poisonous substance at his residence following which he was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment.
“However, the man expired today at about 10.30 AM”, he said, adding after completing all medico-legal formalities the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites while Manjakote police had initiated inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC in the case.
