JAMMU, July 8: A man allegedly committed suicide today by consuming some poisonous substance in Seri Panditan area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, a man identified as Laxmi Dass (60) son of Murti Dass, a resident of Chhatisgarh consumed some poisonous substance in Seri Panditan area, where he was residing presently.
Founding him unconscious, the family members shifted him to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where doctors declared him as brought dead. After completing all medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites.
The concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
