JAMMU, Feb 2: A man allegedly committed suicide today by consuming some poisonous substance in RS Pura area of city outskirts.
“The deceased has been identified as Vijay Kumar (35) son of Bishan Dass, resident of Ward No 10, RS Pura,” police sources said. They said that Vijay allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at his residence this afternoon after which he was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu.
Sources informed that Vijay Kumar was shifted to GMCH Jammu about 3:40 PM and at about 4 PM he passed away. “The dead body was sent for postmortem while RS Pura police had taken cognizance of the matter,” they added.
