JAMMU, April 27: A man allegedly committed suicide by consuming some unknown poisonous substance in Miran Sahib area of city outskirts, today.
“Ravi Kumar (30) son of Natha Ram, resident of Nandpur (Miran Sahib) consumed some poisonous substance at her residence late this morning after which her wife shifted him in an unconscious condition to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he died during treatment,” a police official said.
He said that after getting conducted postmortem, police had handed over the body of the deceased to his family members for last rites while Miran Sahib police had taken cognizance of the matter.
