SAMBA, May 17: A man allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence.
As per reports, 35-year-old Shadi Lal, son of Thoru Ram of Rattanpur allegedly consumed some poisonous stuff at his residence.
Finding him unconscious, family members shifted him to District Hospital, where after initial treatment doctors referred him to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for advanced treatment.
At GMC Hospital, he failed to respond to the treatment and breathed his last.
The body was handed over to legal heirs after completion of legal formalities, while a case has been registered and investigation started to ascertain the reason behind such extreme step.
