JAMMU, June 3: A man, who had allegedly consumed some poisonous substance in Sungal area of Akhnoor, died at Government Medical College and Hospital, here today.
“The deceased was identified as Karan (30) son of Subhash, resident of Sungal”, a police official said, adding, he had attempted suicide yesterday by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence after which he was shifted to GMCH Jammu.
The official said today at about 10 AM, the man passed away in the hospital. “After completing all medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites”, he added. The concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter, he further added.
