JAMMU, May 8: A man allegedly consumed some poisonous substance and later died in a hospital in Jammu.
According to a police official, the deceased identified as Surinder Kumar (36) son of Puran Chand, resident of Simbal Morh, allegedly consumed some poisonous substance last evening after which his family members shifted him to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he passed away today at about 2:30 AM.
He said after getting conducted postmortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to his family members while inquest proceeding under Section 174 CrPC was initiated in this connection at police station Miran Sahib.
