MENDHAR, July 19: One person died after he allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at village Kandi Galuta in Mendhar sub division of Poonch today.
Reports said Mohd Shakoor Khan, son of Mohd Taj Khan, residence of village Kandi Gulhota in Tehsil Mendhar of Poonch district consumed some poisonous substance at his home. He was immediately shifted to Sub District Hospital Mendhar.
He was provided treatment there but as his condition went on deteriorating he was referred to Government Medical College Hospit Rajouri. However he died on way near Manjakote. Later his dead body was brought back to SDH Mendhar and after autopsy the body of the deceased was handed over to the family for final rites. Police has taken cognizance of the matter.
