JAMMU, Apr 24: A 44-year-old man ended his life by allegedly consuming some poisonous substance at his residence here at Bhalwal area of the District, officials said.
They said Subash (44) son of Jagmeet Gill of Bhalwal was admitted in Government Medical College Jammu on April 23 after he consumed some poisonous material at his residence under mysterious circumstances.
“He didn’t respond to the treatment today,” a police spokesperson said.
While the body of the deceased has been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting the post-mortem, J&K Police in Gharota area have initiated inquest proceedings to ascertain the reasons as to why the 44-year-old man took such an extreme step to end his life.
