JAMMU, Dec 8: Bus Stand police detained a man along with 10 kilograms of banned forest produce.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bus Stand Police Station intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 10 kilograms of banned forest produce from the belongings of the person and detained him.
The detained person has been identified as Abdul Qyoom, son of Lal Hussain, a resident of district Doda.
The detained person and seized banned forest produce was later handed to Forest Department for further legal action under law.
Police team led by SHO Bus Stand Inspector Rajesh Jasrotia detained the person under the supervision of SDPO City Varun Jandial and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
