RAJOURI, Sept 22: A man working as labourer in Rajouri town drowned in the nearby river here today.
He has been identified as Joginder Singh, son of Punjab Singh, resident of Arnas in district Reasi. He was working as a labourer in Irwan Khetar area of Rajouri. Along with other labourers he went to river Sukto at Irwan Khetar for bathing and suddenly slipped into deep water and drowned.
SDRF team led by Jabeen Khan and police team led by SHO Rajouri Aejaz Ahmed Wani reached the spot but could not save him. Jabeen told that after hectic efforts by SDRF and Police, the dead body was recovered from river. The police took the cognizance of the matter.
