JAMMU, Oct 27: A man died due to drowning in Ranbir canal in Jeevan Nagar area here, police sources said.
The deceased was identified as Des Raj, son of Shiv Ram, a resident of Jeevan Nagar Satwari District Jammu. He was missing from the past few days and his body was recovered from canal today.
The body of the deceased has been shifted to mortuary of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for completion of medical and legal formalities.
Satwari Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
