JAMMU, June 18: A man today died due to electrocution at its residence here in New Plot area falling under the limits of police post Rehari.
According to a police spokesperson, the man identified as Pawan Kumar (42) son of Jagan Nath, a resident of House No 179, New Plot, inadvertently came in contact with a live wire while repairing a power transformer at his residence.
In unconscious condition the family members shifted him to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where doctors declared him as brought dead. The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for conducting autopsy tomorrow.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at concerned police station and investigations started.
