JAMMU, Sept 30: A man died of electrocution in Satwari area of city outskirts, today.
According to a police official, the deceased has been identified as Mohd Farooq (34) son of Ali Sain Miyan, resident of Bihar. He said the man received severe electric shock while bathing in his rented accommodation at Babliana (Satwari, Jammu), early this morning.
“In unconscious condition, he was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors,” the official said, adding after postmortem the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites while inquest proceeding under 174 CrPC was initiated in this connection at police station Satwari.
