JAMMU, Jan 1: A young man died today due to fall from a train at Railway Station Jammu.
“Ajay Kumar (25) son of Madan Lal, resident of Udhampur, boarded a Delhi-bound train from Udhampur,” a police official said. He said on reaching Railway Station Jammu, Ajay accidentally fell off the train on railway track and was ran over by the train.
“With serious injuries Ajay was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors,” the official said, adding body of the deceased has been shifted to mortuary room of the hospital while inquest proceedings in this connection has been initiated at police station GRP Jammu.
