JAMMU, May 22: A man was electrocuted to death at his residence in village Sarote falling within the limits of police station Gharota.
According to a police spokesman, Mohd Hafiz son of late Mohd Yakoob of village Sarote received a severe electric shock last evening when he inadvertently came in contact with a live wire of power generator at his residence.
“In unconscious condition, Mohd Hafiz was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him as brought dead. After completing all medico-legal formalities the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites”, the spokesman added.
He further said that a case in this connection was registered at police station Gharota and proceedings initiated under 174 CrPC.
