RAMBAN, Apr 2: A man died in fire, which broke out in a house due to gas cylinder leakage in Halla Khari area of tehsil Banihal.
As per police sources, a fire broke out in a house at Halla Khari area, falling under the jurisdiction of Banihal Police Station.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and with the help of fire fighters and tenders doused the flames.
In the inferno, a man identified as Abdul Aziz Bali (70), son of Ahamad Ullah of Halla Khari received burn injuries and was rushed to SDH Banihal, from where he was later referred to a hospital in Srinagar, but he died on the way.
After completing legal formalities, the body of the deceased has been handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
Banihal police has taken cognizance in this regard.
