POONCH, Feb 19: A 46-years-old person died when a vehicle met with an accident near Arai Nallah in Mandi area of Poonch district today.
Official sources said that an Echo vehicle, bearing registration number JK12-6387 was on its way from Arai village towards Mandi town. When it reached near Arai nallah, the vehicle rolled down from the road into a gorge, in which one person dies on the spot.
Residents of the village said that dilapidated condition of this road after 2014 flood is the reason behind the accident.
Deceased was identified as Mohd Altaf, son of Mohammada, resident of Arai. The dead body was handed over to the family after legal formalities by police. The police has registered a case in this connection.
