JAMMU, July 29: A man died today under mysterious circumstances at his residence in Miran Sahib area of city outskirts.
“Som Nath (52) son of Gian Chand, a resident of Kotli Mian Fateh (Miran Sahib), was found unconscious at his residence following which family members informed the police”, a police official said, adding a police team from police Station Miran Sahib reached the spot and shifted the man to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where doctors declared him as brought dead.
He said after getting conducted postmortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites while inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC initiated at police station Miran Sahib. “The deceased was a habitual drunkard’, he added.
