JAMMU, July 8: A man died under mysterious circumstances here today, police sources said.
The deceased was identified as Himanshu Sharma, a resident of Patiala, Punjab. He was admitted in a private hospital after some abdomen pain and died during treatment.
After conducting post-mortem at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), the body of the deceased was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
Inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC have been initiated by Channi Himmat Police.
Meanwhile, the family members of the deceased expressed their anguish and demanded action against the hospital authorities for their alleged negligence.
